Water Detection Sensor Module
Water detection sensor is used to detect water leak, water level or rains. This is obtained by having a series of parallel wires exposed traces. The sensor traces have a weak pull-up resistor of 1 MΩ. The resistor will pull the sensor trace value high until a drop of water shorts the sensor trace to the grounded trace.
The analog signal output can be read directly to arduino

Conductivity (EC) is a measure of the ability of water to pass an electric current; it is affected by the presence of dissolved solids such as chloride, nitrate and phosphate. Conductivity can be a very useful indicator that a discharge of some sort has entered a stream, or some other change has occurred.
