Methane Gas Sensor MQ4 (Analog/Digital)
MQ-4 Sensor is highly sensitive to Methane – CH4.
Using a MQ sensor and detecting the gas is quite easy. You can either use the digital pin or the analog pin to accomplish this. Simply power the module with 5V and you should notice the power LED on the module to glow and when no gas is detected the output LED will remain turned off meaning the digital output pin will be 0V.

The Chirp! Plant Watering Alarm is a new device from wemakethings that helps extend the life of your plant by reminding you to water it. This plant water alarm is essentialy a moisture sensor with built-in coin battery and sound alarm. Chirp is a plant watering alarm – as simple as that. You put it into the soil near a plant and it emits a tiny chirp (sharp sound) when the soil is dry, reminding you to water the plant. Alternatively, Chirp can work as an I2C soil moisture sensor.
A soil moisture sensor can read the amount of moisture present in the soil surrounding it. It is ideal for monitoring garden, or your plant’s water level. This is a must have tool for a connected garden.
This new type capacitive soil humidity sensor differs from other resistive sensors, adopting capacitive sensing principle to detect soil humidity. Since the circuit is not exposed at the detected end, the corrosion problem of sensor is avoided, increasing the sensor operating life and measurments accuracy.
The built-in chip supports 3.3~5.5V working environment, Arduino, ESP32, micro:bit and controller. As to mini PC, you need an ADC module (analog signals are converted into signals).
A soil moisture sensor can read the amount of moisture present in the soil surrounding it. It is ideal for monitoring garden, or your plant’s water level. This is a must have tool for a connected garden.
This sensor uses the two probes to pass current through the soil, and then it reads that resistance to get the moisture level. More water makes the soil conduct electricity more easily (less resistance), while dry soil conducts electricity poorly (more resistance).
It will be helpful to remind you to water your indoor plants or to monitor the soil moisture in your garden. The IO Expansion Shield is the perfect shield to connect this senor to Arduino.
The new soil moisture sensor uses Immersion Gold which protects the nickel from oxidation.
The MQ7 is a simple-to-use Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor suitable for sensing CO concentrations in the air. It can detect CO-gas concentrations anywhere from 20 to 2000ppm. MQ7 is a high sensitivity to carbon monoxide and stable and long-life span.
The MQ-135 gas sensor senses gases like ammonia nitrogen, oxygen, alcohols, aromatic compounds, sulfide, and smoke.
The boost converter of the chip MQ-3 gas sensor is PT1301. The operating voltage of this gas sensor is from 2.5V to 5.0V. The MQ-3 gas sensor has a lower conductivity to clean the air as a gas sensing material. In the atmosphere, we can find polluting gases, but the conductivity of the gas sensor increases as the concentration of polluting gas increases. MQ-135 gas sensor can be implemented to detect the smoke, benzene, steam, and other harmful gases. It has the potential to detect different harmful gases. The MQ-135 gas sensor is a low co st to purchase.
The soil nutrient content can be easily measured using NPK Soil Sensor. Measurement of soil content N (nitrogen), P (phosphorus), and K (potassium) is necessary to determine how much additional nutrient content is to be added to soil to increase crop fertility.
The soil fertility is detected using NPK sensors. A major component of soil fertilizer is nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The knowledge of the soil nutrient concentration can help us to learn about nutritional deficiency or abundance in soils used to endorse plant production.
This Soil NPK sensor is a low cost, quick responsive, high precision & portable Sensor that works with Modbus RS485. The advantage of this sensor over a traditional detection method is that it gives very fast measurement & data are highly accurate. All you need is to insert its probe in soil and get the reading using your MCU (Arduino, Tiva C, Raspberry, Personal computer).
Gravity: Analog pH Sensor / Meter Pro Kit V2 For Arduino is a professional Arduino pH Sensor Meter Kit with an industrial electrode. This ph. sensor module is an upgrade for V1 with improvement is calibration method, more friendly use and better accuracy
This water PH sensor is high quality, high precession, industrial standard water PH sensor. It is designed to be used in industrial applications such as water treatment facilities, rivers, lakes, peverage industry. The PH sensor equipped with 2 meter low noise cable. It is designed for low power consumption, long life and high measurement stability,
PH is a measure of acidity or alkalinity of a solution. It is commonly used to measure the quality of the water or for water monitoring. The pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.
The MQ-6 Gas sensor can detect or measure gases like LPG, methane and butane. The MQ-6 sensor module comes with a Digital Pin which makes this sensor to operate even without a microcontroller and that comes in handy when you are only trying to detect one particular gas. When it comes to measuring the gas in ppm the analog pin has to be used, the analog pin also TTL driven and works on 5V and hence can be used with most common microcontrollers.
So if you are looking for a sensor to detect or measure gasses like LPG, butane or methane with or without a microcontroller then this sensor might be the right choice for you.
Sensitive material of MQ-5 gas sensor is SnO2, which with lower conductivity in clean air. When the target combustible gas exist, The sensors conductivity is more higher along with the gas concentration rising. The sensor convert change of conductivity to correspond output signal of gas concentration.
MQ-5 gas sensor has high sensitity to Methane, Propane and Butane, ch4 and natural gas.
The analog gas sensor – MQ3 is suitable for detecting alcohol, this sensor can be used in a Breathalyser. It has a high sensitivity to alcohol and small sensitivity to Benzine. The sensitivity can be adjusted by the potentiometer.
This environmental sensor module is based on BME280 powerful environmental sensor. It can sense temperature, barometric pressure, humidity .
You can monitor 2 environmental parameters simultaneously. All the measurements can be read through either I2C or SPI connection.
